Check out these daily affirmations to achieve your goals and live the life of your dreams!

Goals, we all have them but unfortunately, we don’t always succeed. This is part of being human but we can learn from these failures. Now, this isn’t a post about smart goals. I have other posts about that. This is all about once you go through the goal setting process of setting smart goals and you still come up short.

The first question that I ask myself when I don’t reach a goal is ‘Why?’. Oftentimes, it is because of some kind of limiting belief. Somewhere between I didn’t actually believe it was possible to the fear of failure.

This is where goal affirmations can come into play. It’s powerful stuff.

Goal affirmations can bridge the gap between those limiting beliefs and getting out of your own way to actually put in the work to reach your dreams. I truly believe that you are capable of anything that you put your mind to. We can all do amazing things.

With smart goals and powerful affirmations, you can make the positive change needed successfully reach your goals time and time again.

What are Daily Affirmations and How do they work?

Affirmations are positive statements that can help you to challenge and overcome negative and self-defeating thoughts. When you repeat them often and believe in them, they can help you to make positive changes in your life.

Goal affirmations work by helping you to change the way you think and feel about yourself and your ability to achieve your goals. It starts by rewiring your subconscious mind that has all these negative attitudes towards life and your ability to do things to protect yourself. The good news is that as human beings we have the ability to change our minds. Slowly but surely but it can be done.

When you tell yourself positive things, you start to believe them. And, when you believe them, you are more likely to take the actions necessary to make them a reality. If you’re in the right mindset, then you’re going to be more willing to put in the hard work in order to reach your goals.

Affirmations go hand in hand with manifestation and the law of attraction. The law of attraction is the belief that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts, you can bring about positive or negative results.

For example, if you are trying to manifest a new job, you would focus on affirmations such as “I am worthy and deserving of a great job” or “I am surrounded by abundance”.

If you are able to rewire your brain and overcome some of those limiting beliefs, then it will be easier to take the action to achieve your goals.

How to Set Effective Goal Affirmations

Identifying your limiting beliefs and self-doubt

The first step is to identify your limiting beliefs. These are the negative thoughts that hold you back from taking action and achieving your goals. Once you identify them, you can start to work on changing them.

For example, if you want to lose weight but you have the limiting belief that you are not good enough or that it isn’t possible for you, then your affirmations would focus on those beliefs.

Some examples of goal affirmations that would challenge those beliefs are “I am good enough”, “I am deserving of a healthy body”, “I can do anything I set my mind to,” or “I love myself unconditionally”.

It is important to make your affirmations believable. If you’re standing there reciting that you will be a millionaire by the end of the year but you don’t have a job, it’s probably not going to happen.

Keep your affirmations realistic and within the realm of possibility. If you want to manifest a new job, don’t just say “I will get a new job”, say “I will find a job that is a perfect fit for me”, “I will attract a job that I love”, or “I am surrounded by abundance and opportunity”.

Make sure to use affirmative words such as “I am”, “I can”, or “I will”. These words are powerful and will help you to believe in your affirmations.

Use Present Tense

Another tip for setting effective affirmations is to make them present tense. This helps your brain to believe that it is already happening. For example, if your goal is to lose weight, you would say “I am healthy and fit”.

You can also make your affirmations more personal by using “I” statements. This helps to make the affirmation about you and not anyone else.

The most important part of affirmations is that you say them or write them down on a consistent basis. Ideally, you should try to incorporate them into your daily routine. It takes time for your mind to believe something so if you repetitively tell it something, your brain will eventually believe it.

Like I always say, daily actions lead to big results.

The Benefits of Using Goal Affirmations

There are many benefits to using goal affirmations. One of the biggest benefits is that they help you to change your mindset and how you think about yourself and your ability to achieve your goals.

Having a positive mindset is one of the most powerful tools you can have in your toolkit. When you have a positive mindset, you are more likely to take action towards your goals. You become more resilient in the face of setbacks and you start to see failure as an opportunity to learn and grow.

Another benefit of using affirmations is that they help you to focus on your goals. When you are constantly telling yourself positive things about what you want to achieve, you start to believe them. And, when you believe them, you are more likely to take the actions necessary to make them a reality.

Another benefit of affirmations is that they help you to attract what you want. When you focus on positive thoughts and beliefs, you start to attract more positive things into your life. This includes the people, circumstances, and opportunities that will help you to achieve your goals.

In my opinion, the best thing about the use of positive affirmations is that it is so easy to do! It only takes a few minutes so you might as well give it a go. The best way to practice affirmations is to be consistent. Stand in front of a mirror or put it on a sticky note on your bathroom mirror and say/look at it every single day. It is a really powerful way to eliminate that negative self-talk that you’re experiencing.
